1 bottle of red wine (Cheap is fine)
1/4 cup sugar (or honey or maple syrup if you prefer)
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Apple, Sliced
2-3 Cinnamon Sticks
3 Star Anise
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, squeezing the citrus as you go.
Bring to a simmer.
Stir to combine and allow the sugar to dissolve.
Leave on a low-medium simmer for 15 mins - 1 hour.
Using a soup ladle, add liquid to your Insulated Fressko flask along with a few apple pieces.
