Skin of 1 pineapple
3cm knob of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp organic turmeric powder
2 slices of fresh lemon
honey or maple syrup (optional)
Wash pineapple skins thoroughly and add to a large pot with ginger, and turmeric.
Add water to pot, just covering the ingredients
Bring to boil for 10 mins, then simmer for 30 minutes.
Strain the liquid into your Fressko flask.
Add lemon slices, honey (if using) and a few extra slices of ginger if you like to your flask. Use the top top part of your 2-in-1 infuser and click into place.
Place on lid.
Note: you can also use the core of the pineapple.
Tip: Store pineapple skins in your freezer until ready to use to save on waste.
